HIGHGATE
French-country style range
Highgate is a furniture range by oak furniture land. The furniture is inspired by Greek revival architecture, with clean sharp lines and a distinct style. The brief set by oak furniture land was simple, consisting of reference images. I took to this by mood boarding styles before making quick sketches and taking to CAD.
The design phase was done in solidworks and was a process of communication with the client on styles they liked and what direction they waned to take the furniture. With the left piece being the very initial design and the right being the final point I took highgate too, with many different iterations in-between.
The piece was finalised with the client and the factory with some minor details being changed.
